After a few attempts this is the best received and matches the character in the script.

Next step, I try to nail down the face of the character. I typically do a turn-around so I can get the best feedback. This particular turnaround got a resounding "try again". The nose is too weak looking, and it just doesn't match the character from the treatment of the script.

This is the first "napkin" for the main character (guy with the bottle in his hand) in a project I've been working on. When conceptualizing I like to add similar elements or themes to get a sense of cohesion. I typically arrange the page in a Dru Struzen-esque movie poster manner.
